A true coastal establishment, The Harlyn Inn sits just a sip of real ale away from the beach’s golden sands and sparkling waves. With two bars and restaurants, this family-friendly inn caters for all. The adjoining beach shop provides essentials such as snacks, clothing, and a surf school with gear to hire. The Harlyn Inn’s diverse offering combines to make it the perfect holiday destination.
Great local ale and cider are a given here, and head chef Lee Cudmore and the talented kitchen team take great care and enjoyment in compiling the frequently changing menu. Inspired by the seasons, it perfectly combines heart-warming pub favourites with daily specials from further afield, such as sole, venison and octopus. Starters range from the likes of sublime vodka-cured salmon and moreish prawn and crab toast to a tapas menu that’s the envy of many an Iberian eatery. The main menu offers classics like steak and ale pie, authentic sourdough pizza, flavoursome fish pie and their succulent own-recipe sausages. Others may be tempted by the Indian and Thai curries, the charcoal grill menu or something from the fantastic seafood section, which includes their celebrated paella.
A return visit will no doubt be on the cards. When you plan your trip, don’t forget to take advantage of the bed and breakfast offering. There are also fully equipped self-catering cottages with three bedrooms – perfect for family holidays.
