First-class crockery and cutlery adorn the tables - always a sign of good things to come. The unique monthly menus offer fresh, seasonal produce sourced locally wherever possible. Vanessa's homemade focaccia bread accompanies imaginative starters, such as red pepper bavarois with a cucumber salad, and popular main dishes include the likes of Greek-style pulled shoulder of lamb. Vanessa's ice cream is arguably the best this side of Italy, with flavours including honey and ginger, coffee and walnut, and white chocolate with amaretto. A thoughtful wine list and intimate atmosphere make Nessie's a must. Nessie's is also open by appointment for parties of ten or more at lunchtimes and other evenings during the week
