Bocabar – Glastonbury
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
Bristol’s innovative development, Paintworks, is home to this New York loft-style warehouse filled with Mediterranean food, local art and music. Pleasure-seekers from across Bristol flock to Bath Road to sample Bocabar’s individual vibe and great food, for which it has garnered a firm following and awards such as Best Café at the Bristol Good Food Awards and a Gold Award from Taste of the West.
Beneath high ceilings, exposed red-brick walls and fairy lights, the ten-metre-long bar dominates the heart of the venue, and plays host to an array of local draught and bottled craft beer, cider, wine, gins and cocktails. The Ottolenghi-style deli bar offers globally inspired salads, dips, pickles, cakes and ginormous cheesecakes. Choose from their legendary selection of 30 different pizzas – look out for monthly pizza specials with local and seasonal toppings, and scrumptious roasts on Sundays.
Bijou Bocabar on the Somerset Levels serves lunch and evening menus led by locally sourced specials, as well as embracing gluten-free and vegan diets. Bocabar Glastonbury is a firm favourite for many, providing an oasis for thirsty cyclists, the perfect spot for lunch and cocktails on the sunny terrace, and a relaxed place to enjoy an evening of casual dining with local, seasonal menus. At the weekend you’ll find live music, DJs and themed events in the adjoining events space.
