The Cove

Now in its tenth year of operation, The Cove at Maenporth Beach has built up a band of loyal customers, thanks in part to the kind of word-of-mouth praise that even the biggest of advertising budgets can't buy.

Chef-patron Arty Williams is a Cornishman who, having worked in New Zealand and Australia, was keen to return home and champion Cornwall and its produce. The food and wine on offer is of a particularly high standard, complementing The Cove's location. Something of a sanctuary, the restaurant is nestled on the shoreline of Maenporth Beach with stunning views of Falmouth Bay.

The newly installed Glassroom, with its retractable roof and sliding glass doors, takes optimal advantage of the location, offering a versatile space suitable for all weather conditions. The space can operate as an enclosed room with an incredible view or, if the sun is shining, be converted into an open-air dining area for the true alfresco experience. Despite being less than ten minutes' drive from Falmouth, when you're sitting out on the terrace it feels a world away from the hustle and bustle of town life.

The Cove offers a dining experience that is really quite rare - a full package that incorporates good food, a welcoming atmosphere and one of the most relaxing views you're likely to find this side of the Mediterranean.
