Gardener’s Kitchen at Trioscape
Trioscape Garden Centre was first opened in 1994 by garden landscapers Richard Mitchell, Douglas Wilson and Ronan Lynch. They have transformed the original derelict buildings into a thriving and beautiful garden centre that is at the heart of Newent’s community. Gardener’s Kitchen is a light and welcoming restaurant that serves delicious breakfasts, lunches and afternoon tea. Pop in for a hearty breakfast and try their American-style pancakes topped with crispy bacon and maple syrup or berry compote and crème fraîche. Or perhaps visit to try their special afternoon tea comprising freshly homemade scones, sandwiches and cakes.
On Wednesdays (varies seasonally) and Sundays, a superb roast dinner is also available and senior citizens are given a ten-per-cent discount on Wednesdays. All the meat and veg is sourced locally, ensuring that fresh, seasonal produce is always used and you can choose between either beef, turkey or pork. A vegetarian dish is also on offer. The standard menu has tasty options like homemade lasagne, pie of the day, fish and chips and fresh salads as well as sandwiches, baguettes and paninis. The spacious café is a great venue to host a party and the group menu means that any event hosted at Gardener’s Kitchen is stress-free and excellent value for money. Make sure your visit to Gardener’s Kitchen includes a stroll around the fabulous plant area and shop for lovely gift ideas and all your gardening needs. The food hall sells local meat and bread and lots of foodie delights. This is a lovely family-friendly restaurant.
