The Village Shop

The Village Shop

0.5 miles
Brockweir, Nr. Chepstow, NP16 7NW
Everything about this café is geared around local suppliers and community involvement, so The Village Shop is a very apt name. The building itself is eco-friendly, built from local materials, run by volunteers from the surrounding area, and heated by a ground source heat pump. With its exposed beams, handmade worktops and wicker baskets, The Village Shop has the look of a rustic, rural barn from the outside. The café is a former winner of the BBC Food and Farmers Award; an accolade well-deserved. The shop sells produce from over 40 local suppliers, who provide the ham, free-range eggs, sausages, freshly baked bread, ground coffee, pressed apple juice, ice cream, fudge, chicken, fresh cakes and so much more on a daily basis. With a lovely outdoor seating area next to the village playground, The Village Shop in Brockweir is made for lazy afternoons in the sunshine.
