Don't be fooled by its French name - La Petite Maison is a restaurant that champions the best of the West Country, with a menu that showcases top-quality local produce. The South West is known for its friendly locals and beautiful countryside, and husband-and-wife team Douglas and Elizabeth strive to reflect this at La Petite Maison by creating a sociable ambience and sourcing produce from the area's rich larder.

Experienced chef Douglas has worked at the prestigious Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland and many other four and five-star establishments around the UK. He also trained at triple-Michelin-star-holder Michel Guérards' famous restaurant in France, which instilled in him a dedication to consistency and quality. His menus at La Petite Maison change frequently depending on the fresh ingredients available. Starters may comprise warm Lyme Bay crab risotto with king prawn and shellfish bisque sauce, while the likes of fillet steak with thyme potato cake, cabbage, bacon, glazed vegetables and a sherry and mushroom sauce may be on offer for mains. Expect sweet treats such as classic creme brulée or baked chocolate mousse cake with roasted pecan nuts, warm chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream to feature for dessert. La Petite Maison offers a combination of modern refinement and traditional hospitality and is a must-visit for those living in or visiting the West Country.
