Market Place, Sidmouth, EX10 8AR

The award-winning Fields Coffee Shop is located on the first floor of Sidmouth’s only department store. The team prides itself on offering attentive service, and customers are welcomed and served by staff dressed in traditional black and white uniform.

Located just a hop, skip and jump from the seafront and accessible by lift, Fields Coffee Shop strives to use the freshest ingredients from the best local suppliers to create delicious snacks and light meals. Fields Coffee Shop is open every day from 9.30am (except Tuesdays when it opens at 10am) until 4.30pm, with last hot food orders at 4.15pm. On Sundays it is open from 10am until 3.30pm. You’ll find morning coffee, light lunches and afternoon teas, and the current menu can be found on their website. The team is pleased to cater for those with gluten, wheat, or dairy intolerances and vegetarian options are also available.

New faces and loyal customers are particularly fond of the lavishly buttered teacakes (fresh from a local baker) and their own Welsh rarebit recipe. If you’re after a sweet treat, then look to the lovely range of cakes and slices.

You might be partial to an indulgent Devon cream tea; at Fields you can devour a traditional cream tea with a scone, authentic tea with a Chudleigh bun, or a savoury tea. Why not try something new?

Accompanying the food is a selection of coffees, speciality and herbal teas, hot chocolate and fruit infusions, and cold drinks for warmer days. Fields Coffee Shop is the perfect place to rest after shopping, as you can be sure of a warm welcome no matter when you visit.
