An evening of gourmet delight and welcoming hospitality awaits you when you choose to dine at the award-winning HH Restaurant in Broadclyst. With its fresh, contemporary decor, this fine-dining restaurant has become hugely popular since it opened in 2010 and has already been given a Taste of the West Gold Award.
From the range of evening menus, a selection of skilfully crafted, locally sourced food is sure to tempt you. Otherwise, you could opt for the six-course tasting menu, supported by superb matching wines. We chose from the à la carte and Simply Fine menus, and the amuse-bouche we were treated to heralded an elegant beginning to our meal. As the evening unfolded we relished a wild mushroom pithivier with truffle Hollandaise and asparagus - absolutely delicious - and a fillet steak Rossini served with incomparably luxurious foie gras, truffled green beans, Dauphinoise potatoes and a sublime Madeira jus. Just as exceptional was the selection of local and Continental artisan cheeses to finish.
We took note of the wide-ranging lunchtime menu on offer, as well as themed evenings and guest speakers. There was also an extensive wine list to select from, which put forward some fine varieties. Owners Stephen and Debbie Hill, along with a team of top chefs headed by Craig Sampson, have created a place where gastronomes will gladly gather - a place not to be missed if you are in the area
