Bournemouth Steak House
Established in 1983, Bournemouth Steak House is one of the longest-running restaurants in Bournemouth, with customers returning not just for years but for decades, visiting with their children and their children’s children across generations. The key to the restaurant’s lasting success is, of course, its fantastic steaks – comments from delighted diners on TripAdvisor testify to the tastiness and tenderness of the meat and the generosity of the portions. Indeed, the restaurant made it through to the 2016 semi-finals of Bournemouth Tourism’s Specialist Dining Experience award.
Bournemouth Steak House is also famous for its open kitchen, where you can ask the chefs to cut and cook your steak just the way you like it. You might start your meal with garlic king prawns, salad with avocado, blue cheese and bacon, or simply a slice of chilled melon, in anticipation of the sumptuous main event. Your main course doesn’t have to be steak – delicious chicken and veal dishes are also available – but you’d be missing out if you didn’t try it. Particularly recommended is the large T-bone with chips served with the Steak House’s famous onion rings and lashings of your chosen sauce. If you have any room left, I would highly recommend indulging in the chocolate brownie for dessert.
The relaxed and romantic ambience in the traditional Tudor-style building makes Bournemouth Steak House a great place for a dinner for two, while it is equally a great shout for families, parties and special occasions.
