The Market House Tea Rooms restaurant is situated in the attractive small town of Moreton-in-Marsh, well worth a diversion in any excursion to the Cotswolds. Gail and Richard Parsons have run this small but comfortable establishment since 2003, and have made a principle of serving entirely home-made products - from soups to the scones for the delicious cream teas, and lunch-time specials. We called on a cold winter's day and had a good lunch of traditional roast pork (£6.75) and a leek and bacon bake (£5.75) followed by puddings from a large selection (all home-made) at £2.75 each - in our case ginger sponge and sticky toffee (naughty but nice). The restaurant is licensed so you can have a glass of wine or beer with your meal, and there is a patio for summer alfresco eating. Gail and Richard are also keen to cater for most dietary requirements, and always have a good selection of gluten-free dishes available (the leek and bacon bake was an example - and I didn't even know when I ate it). If you have any allergies or special requests, they are more than happy to cater accordingly.
