If you're looking for a welcoming, family-run pub and restaurant in the beautiful Cotswolds, The Black Bear Inn is the place for you. Owners David and Alison run the business together, and their son David-John heads the kitchen. With over 30 years' experience in the hospitality industry, these guys certainly know what they're doing. One of the most popular eating-and-drinking houses in the area, The Black Bear acts as a cosy home-from-home for local residents and visitors alike.

The traditional home-cooked food is generously portioned, offering exceptional value for money, and the well-stocked bar offers a tipple to suit all tastes. On the ever-changing seasonal menu, from firm favourites such as beef and ale pie to local pheasant marinaded in garlic and rosemary with parsnip purée and grilled chorizo, there is something for everyone's taste. A wide range of wine and Donnington's real ale is guarded by two four-foot tall carved bear statues at either side of the bar – a fun addition to the venue's traditional interior.

The Black Bear's most popular after dinner treat is the cheeseboard, which features both local and international varieties. Don't hesitate to stop by if you're taking a trip around the Cotswolds; The Black Bear Inn is certainly worth a visit.
