The Holford Arms
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
This charming free house offers wholesome, quality pub food made with locally sourced – if not homegrown – ingredients. Set in eight acres of grounds, The Holford Arms boasts beautiful vegetable gardens, pigs, orchards and its very own vineyard. The pub itself is cosy, with comfy sofas and armchairs, not to mention six beautiful bed and breakfast rooms, a campsite and glamping facilities including luxury shallet The Shack. It’s the closest campsite to the stunning Westonbirt Arboretum, and with spectacular walks just minutes away, it’s no wonder the Holford Arms received a Sawdays Gold Award for its local and seasonal produce, and a place in The Telegraph’s top 30 pubs for a long, lazy weekend lunch. Base yourself at this delightful spot and enjoy the beautiful grounds, explore the historic town of Tetbury, or catch a concert at the Arboretum.
Behind the bar are plenty of tasty tipples, including owner Pete Heathcock’s own cider, which is brewed in the neighbouring village of Sherston. On the menu you’ll find delicious pub grub as well as flavours from around the world. Expect salads straight from the polytunnel and mouth-watering local steaks. Keep an eye out for the ever-changing seasonal specials board, and don’t miss the popular steak night every Monday, or the set menu of authentic Thai cuisine that’s available every Wednesday. Large groups are welcome and, if booked in advance, can be treated to bespoke set menus. The venue also caters for parties, weddings and events for up to 300 guests.
