The Fox Inn
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
The 17th-Century Fox Inn has always had what could only be described as an unspoilt, very English bar with Donnington ales, a wide range of ciders and wines, a log fire, traditional fare and an ambience money can't buy. Due to the massive renovations, second, third and fourth sides to the business have been added, delivering a fantastic drinking and dining experience.
Seven luxurious riverside letting rooms (three brand new and four completely refurbished) allow you to sample the tranquillity of the Windrush Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with walks, historical sites and local attractions nearby.
A new lounge and riverside dining bar, with a fantastic traditional oak-built conservatory, not only brings you within ten feet of the River Windrush, but gives you an unrivalled Cotswold view. Attached to the dining room is a relaxing lounge and seating area with a wood and log-burning fireplace, perfect for 'chilling' on your Fox visit. Folding conservatory doors allow linkage to the massive garden, which features a new alfresco dining and outdoor bar area and beautifully landscaped riverside gardens.
The terraced area has also been furbished; there is now a fantastic traditional handmade charcoal-fired oven and barbecue, helping to realise Paul's dream of providing the complete outdoor dining experience - allowing you to enjoy wonderful fresh chargrilled steaks, organic lamb, jerk chicken, fresh fish and many other chargrilled and wood-oven-cooked wonders in the riverside dining bar.
20 years of local food knowledge, and a father who has been a local butcher for 40 years, allow Paul and his team of chefs to create traditional pub lunch menus, as before, as well as a fresh, exciting evening dining experience and unique Cotswold alfresco dining.
