The Kings Head
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
Just a few miles outside Truro, deep in the Roseland countryside, you’ll find the award-winning Kings Head pub. The Kings Head is one of those rare Cornish finds – a homely pub, tucked away from the hurly burly of the Cornish holiday season. A warm welcome awaits guests all year round, whether you’re enjoying a meal outdoors with a jug of Pimm’s, or warming yourself by the log fire with a mulled wine. Local real ales, an extensive wine list and quality local produce that speaks for itself are specialities here. If you’re after seafood, you can expect Portloe crab and other locally sourced delicacies, plus a daily fresh fish specials board. Beef, sausages and pork all come from Phillip Warren and form some of the tempting dishes on the menu, and there are also some lovely homemade desserts. With all this on offer, it’s no wonder they were awarded Bronze Pub of the Year in 2014 by the South West Tourism Awards. More recently, they were also awarded a Gold accolade in the dining-pub section of the Taste of the West awards.
