The air-conditioned interior is dramatic with burnt orange walls, contemporary artwork and real wooden flooring. Tables are dressed with crisp white linen and individual candles add to the ambience.
The dishes on the menu are mostly of Northern Indian and Bangladeshi origin. Dishes are made to order, using excellent quality ingredients with spices and herbs prepared individually. Traditional dishes of lamb dhansak, chicken tikka masala and king prawn madras are on offer along with more unusual dishes. The chef's specials include, Rap Chandra, which is a skate like fish from the Bay of Bengal, served in a medium hot sauce of onion, fresh tomato, herbs and fresh green chillis.
Thali is available in both special and vegetarian versions. This dish consists of a large tray holding a number of small bowls each containing a smaller portion of a mixture of main courses and starters. It's the perfect way to try a little of everything in one sitting and choose your favourite for your next visit. The restaurant is complemented by a great takeaway service.
