The Drawing Room
Cotswold Grange Hotel, Pittville Circus Road, Cheltenham, GL52 2QH
The Drawing Room is situated in a grand tree-lined avenue between the famous racecourse and the beautiful Regency centre of Cheltenham. The building dates back to the 1830s and retains many original features, including stunning ceiling mouldings and the original cantilevered staircase. The dining room is magnificently proportioned, with four-metre-high ceilings and huge windows creating a wonderful period setting. There is an elegant bar for the perfect pre-dinner rendezvous. Chef Tomer Ron is serious about provenance of ingredients and sources the best seasonal produce from the locale. Menus are reassuringly short and change frequently. Be drawn by the aroma of freshly baked bread; follow with lamb braised in red wine and rosemary, or a hearty venison pie. Private dining rooms are available for 15 to 50 people and menus can be individually tailored. The Drawing Room is a great neighbourhood eatery serving unpretentious food with the genuine hospitality of a small family-run business.
