Curry Corner is a fast expanding family business. The night that we ate, it was packed with lively, contented customers. The menu is varied and interesting. My companion and I took the opportunity to sample dishes which we would not normally have. For starters, particularly recommended would be the King Prawn Puri - king prawn sautéed in a garlic, green pepper and tomato sauce, served on a speciality fried bread. For the main course the Duck Masala is extremely good. It is spicy, for those who like their curries hot, but it comes in a mild, creamy version as well. My companion and I sampled a number of side dishes, and particularly liked the saag paneer, which is made with spinach and a Bangladeshi vegetarian cheese.

Puddings ranged from the Indian ice-cream, kulfi to more English equivalents such as strawberry cheesecake.

The décor is attractive, with subtle lighting, creating an intimate atmosphere. You could take a partner here for a romantic meal, or just relax with friends. Whichever you do, you will certainly enjoy the food.

At present Curry Corner seats 40 people, but an extension is being built this summer so that the restaurant will be able to hold more than 100 people. From the end of August they will be catering for the large demand that such good Bangladeshi food creates.
