The Savoy was built in 1912 to replace an old villa, Ebaston House, and is a quintessential piece of Victorian architecture. It boasts an interesting history, which includes a spell as an artillery records office during World War II. Nowadays The Savoy is a popular hotel and restaurant that offers a rare combination of Victorian elegance, contemporary style and a relaxed atmosphere.

The hotel's location on Bournemouth's south beach is one of its best assets, and the Savoy team are rightly proud of the well-kept gardens, pool and croquet lawn that stand between the hotel and the sea. This gorgeous vista is overlooked by the large panoramic terrace, which is a delightfully tranquil place to enjoy a refreshing drink or a leisurely lunch.

The Savoy's spacious restaurant serves up fantastic Sunday lunches - the perfect excuse for a relaxing meal out with family or friends. Throughout the week, lunch is served in the lounge. The menu features the best produce available, and all tastes and dietary needs are deliciously catered for. Starters include tempura king prawns and soup of the day, to be followed by hearty mains like traditional fish 'n' chips, a homemade burger made with 100-per-cent beef, and a delicious chicken Caesar salad. For something lighter, choose from a selection of doorwedge and club sandwiches with fresh, generous fillings. A superb range of cakes, beverages, liqueurs and hot and cold drinks completes the lunchtime luxury - what more could you ask for?
