If you like to be treated, you will absolutely love the charming family-run Trouville Hotel and the enchanting Deauville Restaurant within. Perched on a hill just a short stroll from Bournemouth's famous gardens, this hotel boasts unparalleled views across the town and its award-winning sandy beaches.

The Trouville incorporates a café bar, a renowned restaurant, a luxurious leisure spa with gym, pool, sauna and Jacuzzi, plus conference rooms and facilities for weddings and special occasions. With its 76 beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms, unrivalled location and a dog-friendly policy too, The Trouville attracts many holidaymakers year after year. Others come for a pre-theatre meal or after-show drinks, or to stay overnight after a concert at the Bournemouth International Centre, which is literally a two-minute walk away. The owners, brothers David and Simon Young, and their superb staff receive countless rave reviews from locals and visitors alike. A cool drink and light snack can be enjoyed in Le café Bar, or perhaps while relaxing on the sun-soaked terrace. If it's an opulent evening you're after, indulge yourself in the luxurious Art Deco surroundings of the highly regarded Deauville Restaurant. Head chef Alain Guyot provides an exciting menu featuring fine British cuisine with a French twist; every delicious dish is freshly cooked and presented beautifully. My fan of honey-dew melon to start was perfectly complemented by an amaretto coulis, and my companion's homemade smoked trout terrine was a tower of creamy delight on a fan of thinly sliced cucumber. We followed these with roast loin of English pork (with crackling to die for) and medallion of English lamb - both creations accompanied by colourful crunchy vegetables and full of unforgettable flavours. The value for money here is superb considering the first-class quality - three courses will set you back just £19.95. If you fancy Sunday lunch, it's only £12.95 for three courses, complete with elegant musical accompaniment from a guest pianist.

The Trouville Hotel exudes a traditional charm that is hard to come by, and, with contemporary touches, exquisite cuisine and outstanding levels of service to boot, it's easy to see why this place is so popular.
