44 St Swithuns Road, Bournemouth, BH1 3RJ
The Bournemouth Pizza Company opened its doors in 2013 and is one of the town's most exciting restaurant destinations. The owner grew up in a restaurant and having one of her own was always a dream. The realisation of her long-time aspiration features long wooden tables encouraging socialising, making for a relaxed dining experience to be enjoyed by students, families and tourists.

The smell of fresh dough - prepared daily - combines with friendly service to give a truly authentic taste of Italy. Pizzas are lovingly made in-house by the Italian chef who uses fresh ingredients, and are then cooked in a traditional woodfired oven for a mouth-watering main. Favourites include Vesuvio, loaded with spicy Italian sausage, red peppers with green and red chillies, and Capricciosa, topped with artichokes, mushrooms, olives, ham and oregano. Customers with special dietary requirements are catered for with vegan cheese and gluten-free bases available on request. At the bar there is always local ale or cider as well as house wine to choose from. Desserts include the delicious Nutella and banana sweet calzone. End your visit with a stroll along the pretty seafront which is only a ten-minute walk away. The train station is just across the road too, so diners don't need to worry about driving
