With the owner and chefs hailing from Bangkok, it's no surprise the food at this popular eatery has an authentic, flavoursome kick. Add efficient service and an upbeat atmosphere, and you can understand why Yum Yum Thai is so successful. Thai native Nan and her Italian husband Lee have been serving up fresh, MSG-free food using free-range produce for over 15 years now. We tried the spicy tom yum kung soup with prawns, lemongrass and coriander - a penetrating mix of fragrant flavours - and piquant beef stir-fried with French beans, chilli and Thai basil. A side of steamed pork and prawn dumplings, which proved a worthy contender to my partner's favourite dumplings in New York, was washed down with a glass of organic wine.
