Koh Thai Tapas – Bath

0.5 miles
36 Broad Street, Bath, BA1 5LP

Located in the heart of historic Bath, just a short walk from the famous Pulteney Bridge, Koh Thai Tapas is a one-of-a-kind retreat for Thai-style dining. Stepping inside the atmospherically lit interior immediately transports visitors across continents, from a quintessentially English Georgian city to a tropical Southeast Asian hideaway. Thai trinkets adorn the walls, complemented by indoor plants and minimalistic wooden decor – a harmonious mix of contemporary and traditional.

If you’re struggling to select a main dish, the tasting option is a chance to sample and share a wide range of striking Thai dishes and flavours, exemplifying the ethos behind Koh’s dining concept. We opted for the Thai tasting option, which could be tailored to suit our dietary needs. We were impressed by the likes of fragrant sweetcorn cakes and Koh’s own chicken satay – marinated chicken breast served on bamboo skewers with satay sauce. Mains brought us more flavours to enjoy, including a medium-spiced pork red curry, a vegetarian twist on a classic pad Thai, and a delicious tofu and basil stir fry accompanied by coconut rice.

Thai and British beers and a pleasing selection of wine back up an extensive list of cocktails. The helpful team were conversational and professional, making for an all-round memorable evening. Striving for a complete dining experience, Koh Thai Tapas is an absolute must-visit.
