Sydney Wharf, Bathwick Hill, Bath, BA2 4EL
The John Rennie is the most exclusive floating restaurant on the Kennet and Avon Canal, offering the perfect combination of effortless comfort, bespoke service and gourmet food. Step on board and experience the kind of Georgian glamour that Bathonians of Jane Austen's era would have enjoyed. This personally crewed boat's main saloon boasts glass sides, which afford some stunning views, and the open deck is perfect for enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. Through the bow you'll find a fully stocked bar with beer on tap, soft leather chairs, real wood tables with cream linen runners, a professionally equipped galley kitchen and a 150-watt sound system, disco lights and dance floor.

The on-board catering is run by Bath Narrowboats' sister company, Gourmet Delicious, which offers a huge breadth of menus featuring the finest homemade cuisine. Only locally sourced, fresh ingredients are used for everything from teatime treats such as cream teas, sandwiches and exquisite canapés to more copious platters, buffets, hog roasts, barbecues and three-course meals. Accompany your cuisine with tipples from either the concise on-board wine selection or from a cellar located on dry land. Whatever you decide on, rest assured your event will be safe in the hands of a company that boasts over 30 years' experience. Cruises range from two-and-a-half to six hours long, although all programmes are flexible
