Located just a ten-minute stroll from Bath Spa train station, you’ll find Atelier Restaurant. Perched on the edge of the River Avon near historic Pulteney Bridge, this modern establishment is the perfect spot in which to share fine fare with friends, family and colleagues.
We dined in the sleek, stylish restaurant and upon being greeted by our friendly waiter we felt immediately at home. Excited to see that the menu showcased an array of delicious dishes from light bites to hearty meals, we soon decided what to sample. My roasted tomato and red pepper chowder, and my companion’s kedgeree croquettes were packed with flavour and beautifully presented. I followed with the perfect winter warmer: sous-vide lamb shoulder served with parsnip and herb mash, asparagus and shallots, and enhanced with rich jus. My partner plumped for the pan-seared barramundi fillet, which was met with much delight. He was particularly taken by the creamy chive mash that accompanied the fish, alongside spinach, mushrooms and sundried tomatoes. Desserts were equally scrumptious; the goat’s cheese ice cream accompanying ourwarm baked apple galette was a surprising highlight for us both.
The restaurant also offers an impressive and varied breakfast and lunch menu. Atelier Restaurant really is the ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, whether you’re just visiting historic Bath, or a local looking for delectable food right on your doorstep.
