The Cow Shed
Located on the seafront opposite the Pavilion Theatre, The Cow Shed brings a Brighton vibe to Worthing thanks to its edgy retro-industrial decor and relaxed ambience. By day this independently run bar has a family-friendly feel and guests are encouraged to take their time. Dogs are made to feel as welcome as their owners, with water and dog biscuits provided. By night the ambience is lively, with an eclectic range of music.
The name refers to the burgers – around ten different choices – made from meat from Swandean Butchers in Worthing. Other American-style comfort food is also served, including loaded nachos, mac and cheese, succulent steaks and hot dogs, along with pub classics such as fresh, locally caught fish and chips. There’s also a children’s menu that will leave little ones just as satisfied as the adults.
The Cow Shed offers an astonishing 50 cocktails, including classic offerings such as Long Island Iced Tea and Daquiri, alongside The Cow Shed’s own concoctions with playful names such as French Mootini, a delicious tipple comprising Black Cow vodka, Chambord, pineapple juice and a raspberry garnish. There are also 30 independent gins, including the local Blackdown, as well as a good choice of craft beer and draught beer on tap.
