The Queen's Head was built in the 15th Century and was originally a barn before being transformed into a pub in 1740. Now replete with log fires, plenty of original features and authentic beams, it is a homely retreat for a loyal band of locals and visitors to the area. It's conveniently located close to Wokingham town centre - on an historic terrace amongst buildings of archaeological interest - and is a Grade II listed building itself. The beautiful garden at the rear is ideal for sitting down with a drink in the sun, or for enjoying one of the light lunches and snacks available at the bar. All of the dishes are homemade, with an emphasis on local produce - in fact most ingredients are gathered from suppliers in the surrounding area. Dogs are more than welcome, and the pub boasts an Aunt Sally team comprised of local players. If you've simply stepped in to quench your thirst, choose from six fine real ales - three hailing from local breweries such as Ascot Ales, Binghams Brewery and West Berkshire Brewery - as well as Greene King favourites
