The Maiden Over isn't your usual pub; not only is there a cosy bar area to while away a few hours over a pint and a hearty meal, there is also a spacious coffee lounge serving a range of hot beverages along with panini, sandwiches, salads and cakes. There are three outside seating areas too - pavement-style seating at the front, a pub garden at the side and a small terrace at the rear - ensuring there's plenty of opportunity to bask in the sunshine during the summer.

If you're after somewhere to sit back with a good book, enjoy a catch-up with friends or surf the web, the relaxed coffee lounge is just the place. If you've got an event, meeting or party to plan, give The Maiden Over team a call - the lounge can accommodate up to 50 people.

A more traditional pub atmosphere can be found in The Barrington Lounge, where you can play dominos, cards, backgammon, darts and pool, or simply take advantage of the free Wi-Fi. There is a full beer, wine and spirit selection, including four cask ales and over 80 locally brewed bottled ales which are available to drink in or take away (at a discount). The menu at The Maiden Over, which is available in both lounges, includes a great range of dishes from good old bangers and mash, and gammon, egg and chips, to a range of salads. They also have a varied burger menu and serve Pieminister pies - with up to 13 different pies to choose from there is something for everyone
