Whether you're looking for a romantic evening or want to share time with friends, Woking's Café Latino is sure to delight. The restaurant is smart yet comfortable, its modern design juxtaposed perfectly with the authentic Italian menu.

When we visited the restaurant, we were charmed by the penne alla cacciatore (£5.95 as a starter), served with a fresh chilli sauce. The mozzarella di bufala con pomodoro (£5.95) also proved a stellar choice.

Pasta and meat dishes are specialities and the Aberdeen Angus beef is particularly popular. Try the medaglioni al pepe verde (£14.95) - medallions of beef with a green peppercorn sauce - and you'll soon see why.

The fusili al ragu (£9.95) was served with a delicious red wine and tomato sauce and highlighted the authenticity and commitment to quality that is prevalent in the kitchen.

The wine list is designed to complement the menu, with an emphasis on Italian and good quality Old World wines, as well as a few New World options to accommodate the increasingly adventurous palate of today's diner. The friendly staff will be more than happy to recommend suitable wines to accompany your meal.

In addition to the main restaurant downstairs, Café Latino has a private function room - popular for private meetings and office dining events.
