The Boatman is a historic riverside pub on the River Thames in the shadow of Windsor Castle and overlooking Eton Bridge. The main building dates from 1829 when it was built to serve the river trade and it has been a pub and restaurant ever since.
This is the perfect spot in Windsor to enjoy fabulous waterfront views – the glass conservatory has a retractable roof and heating, so you can enjoy the location come rain or shine, day or night.
The menu includes British favourites such as beer-battered fish and chips, Eton Mess and roast dinners on Sundays, and a children’s menu is available too. Enjoy free Wi-Fi in the restaurant, and rest assured that it’s wheelchair and pushchair accessible and there are facilities for families.
The gastropub is the perfect venue for both private and corporate functions including wedding receptions, birthday parties, entertaining clients, office lunches and more. Table bookings can be made for parties of two people up to 100 inside and the team can cater for eighty people in the beautiful glass conservatory. The whole pub can also be hired exclusively. Bespoke fork buffets and finger buffets can be created for group bookings and guests are welcome to personalise their event – including the menus – to make them their own.
Conveniently located opposite Windsor and Eton Riverside railway station, The Boatman is easy to find. The station car park is immediately behind the venue and there is plenty of additional parking nearby. For delicious food, stunning river views, friendly hospitality and a relaxed atmosphere, look no further than The Boatman. Your initial visit is sure to be the first of many.
