Latino, centrally located in a picturesque cobbled street in the heart of historic Windsor, is the town's oldest Greek taverna. This family-run eatery, just one minute's walk from Windsor Castle, has been established for 17 years.

Once inside you find that its vibrant décor, relaxed ambience and authentic Greek cuisine truly is Mediterranean. Latino is open daily for both lunch and dinner, serving traditional Greek and continental cuisine.

The house speciality is their famous Mezze, a veritable feast of over 20 traditional Greek dishes. These starter-like recipes range from freshly prepared dips and colourful salads served with hot pitta bread to fresh fish and char-grilled meats.

There truly is a wealth of choice on the menu, but my favourites are the taramasalata, tzatziki, hummus and souvlaki.

Live music on Friday and Saturday nights is a real Greek experience. The sounds of a bouzouki and the claps and twirls of traditional folklore dancers create a fantastic, fun atmosphere that is ideal for any celebratory party, whether large or small.

Early bookings are advisable at Latino. They treat you like you're part of the family here, and with just the right amount of ouzo you might even begin to feel Greek.

Join the party at Latino Greek Taverna.
