Riverside Brasserie

0.5 miles
Bray Marina, Monkey Island Lane, Bray, SL6 2EB
As its name suggests, the Riverside Brasserie is set in an idyllic location with the Thames on one side and the picturesque Bray Marina on the other. There's a wonderful atmosphere both outside and in, and on a warm, sunny day the riverside terrace is the perfect place to savour a leisurely lunch and watch the boats go by. At lunchtime the restaurant offers great ciabatta sandwiches and sharing platters as well as starters and mains, while on Sundays they do a fabulous roast at £21.95 for two courses or £24.95 for three. In the evening, the focus is on meat and fish, and starters range from old-time favourites such as king prawn cocktail with Marie Rose sauce to more contemporary dishes like the beef Carpaccio with Parmesan shavings, rock salt and rocket salad. Main courses include stunning fish dishes like grilled swordfish Niçoise as well as tasty meat options such as the rump of lamb with chorizo and broad bean ragoût and 30-day-aged Scottish beef steaks. There's a good choice of vegetable and potato side dishes to accompany your main and a menu of varied desserts including cheeses and after-dinner drinks, as well as an extensive wine list ranging from sparkling wines by the glass to luxurious vintages by the bottle. The Riverside Brasserie is regularly rated as excellent on TripAdvisor and makes a wonderful venue to hire for a private function
