Rick Stein’s restaurant in Winchester is the first business venture for the TV personality and restaurateur outside of Cornwall, and its menu offers a familiar feel to its predecessors. The order of the day is simplicity with fresh flavours of the deep blue served up classically and with understated style. Diners will find classic Rick Stein dishes on the menu, such as turbot Hollandaise, and some of his own personal favourites, like the light, fragrant lobster Thermidor. Fresh ingredients take centre stage, enabling diners to savour each and every flavoursome bite. Dining here is relaxing and leisurely. Soothing seascape-based artwork features on the walls, while cobalt blue glasses and serviettes add dashes of vibrancy to otherwise neutral decor. Similarly, exposed brickwork is left untouched giving a rustic feel and conveying the ethos of the restaurant.
