Built in the 17th Century, The Plough was an old favourite of English textile designer, artist and writer William Morris. It lies just a stone's throw from the River Thames and is popular with walking and boating fraternities, as well as those wanting a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.

The talented chefs make the most of the seasonal and local produce around, and look forward to tickling your tastebuds with dishes such as slow-braised Kelmscott pork belly with pea purée and horseradish, and seared scallops on a rosemary skewer served with chorizo and vanilla foam. If you can't tear yourself away from this affable pub, stay the night in one of the eight en-suite rooms - ideal retreats that provide the ultimate in rest and relaxation.
