The Pot Kiln is one of the best-known country pubs in Britain. Owned by renowned wild-food chef Mike Robinson and his partner Katie since 2005, the pub serves some of the finest, rustic yet elegant food around.

Mike is well known for his use of wild local produce. He controls the deer over a vast area of Berkshire, providing The Pot Kiln with its famous wild venison, and also runs a renowned Game & Wild Food Cookery School.

Expect to find starters such as paté of wild rabbit and roe deer venison with homemade piccalilli and exceptional mains like Lockinge fallow deer T-bone venison with crisp garlic potatoes and black cabbage. Salads and vegetables are picked twice a day from the beautiful walled vegetable garden that has been five years in the making, and all the real ale served is made by master brewer Dave Maggs in West Berkshire Brewery.

The pub not only serves amazing-value restaurant food, but also has a fabulous bar food menu. The garden is a joy and is packed with contented customers in the summer months, especially on warm Sunday evenings, when the legendary Pot Kiln pizzas are produced from their wood-fired oven
