Executive chef Stuart Dunley creates monthly changing menus that showcase fresh seasonal produce. Tempting starters might include seared scallops with pumpkin purée, pickled pumpkin, caramelised pumpkin seeds and maple lemon vinaigrette. On the list of main courses, you’ll find exceptional plates boasting bold and earthy British flavours such as Bexhill beef fillet with pommes Anna, bone marrow, shallot marmalade and wild mushrooms. Also on offer are a great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes; the handmade tagliatelle of wild mushrooms with truffle butter sauce and garden pesto is rich and incredibly moreish. If you fancy an indulgent dessert, the likes of chocolate tart with caramel sauce would satisfy any sweet-tooth, whilst the buttermilk panna cotta with lemon-roasted apricots would provide a refreshing end to any meal.
