On our visit to The Princess Royal, we enjoyed chickpea and sweet potato with tortilla chips to dip and the sea salt and smoked paprika squid with lemon oil and aged balsamic. In addition to highlighting the exciting breadth of the menu, both dishes proved the perfect opener to the evening's dining. The Peking duck with tagliatelle, spring onion and cucumber was a stand-out dish - a brave concord of flavour that lived up to its potential and was at once surprising and delicious. The dessert menu features traditional favourites, such as the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownies, as well as the artistically presented mint parfait, which proved a popular choice during our visit.
Visitors to The Princess Royal can expect a warm welcome from the friendly, attentive staff, and will doubtless find an exciting wealth of dishes on a menu sure to satisfy any gourmand.
