A stunning 650-year-old building with olde-worlde charm and character in abundance, Wealden Hall is a unique dining spot. Furnishings are in line with the age of the building and complement beautiful original features such as beamed ceilings and open fireplaces. This is a venue to enjoy all year round - in winter the aforementioned open fires are lit and the surroundings are cosy, while in summer patrons can bask in the sunshine while dining al fresco in the well-kept garden.

Whether you simply fancy a quiet pint, a leisurely lunch or a three-course meal, you'll be given a warm reception from the Wealden Hall team. Those who are visiting for the latter might begin with sourdough and bloomer breads with cold-pressed Sussex rapeseed oil, beetroot balsamic and olives, or British ham hock and black pudding hash with Tewkesbury mustard and Cheddar sauce, a poached egg and pea purée. For the main course, fans of traditional fare will be kept happy with the likes of hand-battered cod with seasoned chips, tartare sauce and peas, 10oz 28-day-matured Black Angus rib-eye steak with the usual accompaniments and your choice of sauce, or roasted pork belly with black treacle and bourbon glaze. To finish, satisfy your sweet tooth with salted caramel and chocolate torte with clotted cream or sticky toffee and date pudding with clotted cream and toffee sauce. There are offers available throughout the week and a well-priced roast with all the trimmings is served every Sunday, making Wealden Hall the place to go for great-value, classic fare in an historic setting
