The Bench is an exciting and innovative wine bar and tapas restaurant in Ramsgate’s Royal Harbour. With its stunning design and unique concept in wine service, it is the first of its kind in Kent and beyond.

The Bench boasts a cellar of over 100 wines, over 48 of which are available by the glass via the beautiful wine dispensing machines, allowing guests to sample every one of them at the perfect temperature. The staff are on-hand to guide visitors on an exciting journey; they can recommend the best wine and food pairings, and even allow visitors to dispense their own choices using the loyalty card system.

At the helm is executive head chef Warren Tyson, who honed his cooking skills under the likes of Gordon Ramsay, Jason Atherton, and Stuart Gillies. Warren and the team offer diners a unique sensory experience. Sunday lunch is a particular treat, and Ramsgate diners flock to sample delights including sharing platters of succulent roasts or cured meats and homemade focaccia.

Apart from its state-of-the-art wine service, The Bench offers a custom gin menu that offers guests their choice of gin, mixer and botanicals to create a perfectly suited drink. Cocktails are another speciality, with both traditional and enquiring tastes accommodated.
