The Flying Dutchman
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
Idyllically situated just a stone’s throw from the water’s edge in Queenborough harbour sits The Flying Dutchman. The restaurant is themed on a reproduction
of HMS Victory, with nautical decorations like anchors and wooden barrels set alongside handmade tables with realistic life-size cannons. This popular community hub offers a warm welcome to all, whether just for a quick drink or a scrumptious sit-down meal. The menu centres on homemade British favourites – expect an array of steaks, an extensive selection of locally caught fish, and numerous vegetarian options. Alongside the main menu The Flying Dutchman also offers a popular carvery seven days a week, with a choice of four succulent meats and mountains of locally sourced vegetables. The kitchen team has mastered the line between healthy and satisfying, with tempting options to suit all tastes.
A popular venue within the boating community, The Flying Dutchman’s three large dining areas make it perfect for large parties and special occasions. On sunny days guests flock to the venue’s award-winning garden and outside bar. Every June this popular spot is ideally located for the Isle of Sheppey’s annual street festival celebrating Queenborough’s independence with live bands and all-day entertainment.
