Spice Lounge

For eight years Spice Lounge has been wowing diners at its premises on Preston Street in the heart of Faversham. During this time, a dedicated and loyal following has frequented the restaurant, ensuring its success. Rightly so - the delicate use of spices and seasonings ensure that every dish is tasty and nutritious.

Attention to detail is key to Spice Lounge's enduring popularity, as demonstrated through the kitchen's use of quality spices. The peppery arjwani seeds in my starter of arjwani zinga really brought the dish together. Featuring king prawns in hung yoghurt with mint, cooked in a clay oven and served with coriander chutney, it was a real winner. I chose my main course of kathi meethni bathak from the gourmet section of the menu. The dish comprised a Gressingham duck breast roasted and marinated in turmeric, cinnamon and chilli, served with sweet and sour sauce and pilau rice. For dessert, I plumped for refreshing ice cream. The menu includes two vegetarian dishes and there's even a gluten-free menu, so there's something for everyone. Should you visit on a Sunday, you can look forward to a three-course banquet where children under five eat for free.
