As the name suggests, the Riverside Restaurant boasts picturesque views across the River Thames and is within walking distance of Hampton Court, making it an ideal spot for a light lunch or relaxing dinner. With meals priced to suit all budgets, the menu is varied and refreshingly straightforward, yet still delicious and contemporary, combining traditional English dishes with Mediterranean flavours. To start, the Riverside Restaurant offers everything from trout to tagliatelle, but the perfectly grilled tiger prawns simply drizzled with garlic butter were noticably exceptional. To follow, the fillet of salmon, pan-fried with mussels in white wine, arrived on a bed of pak choi, while the rump steak was colossal, served juicy and rosy with crispy beer-battered
onion rings, grilled tomato and chips. The meals at the Riverside Restaurant are all cooked fresh and served by smartly dressed, knowledgeable staff, complemented by a wine list that is succinct but perfectly crafted to suit the dishes on offer. Desserts were deliciously indulgent and included a glorious sticky toffee pudding drenched in butterscotch sauce with a generous dollop of clotted cream.
The Riverside Restaurant offers all the creature comforts of home, with the added opulence of four-star service.
