The Albert Arms has championed real ale since it opened in 1853 and was recently awarded Pub of the Year 2015 by the local CAMRA group. Reared in the forests of Somerset on a diet of wild herbs and flowers and aged for no less than 45 days, the Longhorn beef has unbelievable depth of flavour and tenderness. The tomahawk for two is an impressive sight and has an unforgettable taste, and the crispy shoestring fries, salad and Béarnaise sauce served alongside are the perfect accompaniments. The Albert Arms team is so passionate about rare-breed meat that they have their own Longhorn cows, Gloucester Old Spot pigs and Poulet Noir chickens, all of which are served in the restaurant. T-bone, sirloin, rump, rib-eye, chateaubriand, porterhouse and fillet Oscar all grace the à la carte menu.
