With over 90 shops spread over three levels, you could find yourself spending longer than you thought at WestQuay. Luckily, there's a whole floor devoted to dining, so there are plenty of cafés and restaurants in which to take a break. Whether you fancy coffee and cake or Peri-Peri chicken, every craving is catered for. Now open until 9pm on weekdays, and with excellent road, rail and bus links, WestQuay couldn't be more convenient.

European fare is represented in all its glory at WestQuay. The Café Giardino team starts early, so you can too. Here, they prepare fresh sandwiches, salads and other delights by hand every day. Grab a wholesome breakfast, treat yourself to a midmorning coffee and a sweet treat, or pop in for lunch and tuck into a pasta dish, sandwich, baked potato or fresh salad. Alternatively, check out Café Rouge Express, where they serve first-rate French food fast - everything is available to eat in or take away. They also make a great cooked breakfast, wonderful pastries, hot and cold baguettes, soups, salads and steaks. At Pizza Express, attention to detail is paid to every part of the dining experience, from the polished cutlery and stylish furnishings, to the freshly made pizzas, delicious pasta dishes and salads, all of which are freshly made using quality ingredients. Another family favourite is Nando's, famous for its Portuguese-inspired fresh chicken dishes and, of course, its secret-recipe Peri-Peri sauce. Have yours in a burger, wrap or pitta, and complete your meal with sides such as chips, mash or coleslaw. Or, if chicken isn't your thing, plump for a fresh salad or bean burger.

The Americas also provide plenty to get your mouth watering. For the best slow-smoked pork ribs this side of the pond, head to The Chicago Rib Shack. Barbecue ovens give the meat a rich, smoky flavour and tender texture, resulting in mouth-wateringly juicy ribs. Burgers are made in house using the best cuts of British beef, and there are homemade shakes, lemonade and iced tea to wash it all down with. The bright-red booths of Ed's Easy Diner will transport you back to 1950s America. This much-loved diner serves up a large slice of retro, all-American charm, and offers a menu of quality burgers, fries, shakes and more. Bringing the robust flavours of California-Mexican food to Southampton, Tortilla is home to some of the tastiest burritos and tacos around. Fill up on a burrito packed with your choice of meat, rice, beans, peppers, onions, salsa, cheese and sour cream, or go for a lighter naked burrito, which features all the good stuff without the flour tortilla.

If the thought of the cuisine of the Far East has your appetite piqued, WestQuay can help there too. Inspired by Japan's popular ramen bars, Wagamama serves pan-Asian-style dishes in a lively, buzzing setting. Known for its fast, fresh food made using authentic ingredients, Wagamama offers a whole host of rice, teppenyaki and noodle dishes, plus aromatic curries and ramen, all freshly cooked to order and available to eat in or take away. Fun, fresh and flavoursome are the buzzwords at YO! Sushi, where sashimi, maki, hand rolls and salads are served on a kaiten, or conveyor-belt, for diners to grab and enjoy. And, if you don't see something you fancy making its way over to you, you can simply press the airline-style call button and put in an order.

There's all of this and so much more to discover at WestQuay. You can keep up to date with the latest on Facebook (/westquay) and on Twitter (@WestQuay).
