The atmosphere on arrival at The Fat Fox was warm and friendly, with nothing being too much trouble for the staff. Our room was homely yet stylish, and very clean. At dinner we ordered a reasonably priced bottle of New Zealand sauvignon blanc to share. The Fat Fox specialises in locally produced food with a daily changing menu of fresh, innovative dishes. The main courses proved the star of our meal, as I opted for the pan-roasted partridge breast, which featured beautifully cooked and deliciously tender meat hidden beneath bronzed skin. My partner expressed delight at the range of vegetarian food options, and chose the gnudi. We headed home the next day feeling a little sad leave to after such a luxurious stay. The Fat Fox truly offers all the comforts of home, with far superior cooking.
