The menu offers the best in continental style dining - a really good mixture of dishes to suit all tastes, along with a great children's menu. As the Village Bar & Grill offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, there really is a dish for every occasion.
My guest and I enjoyed a tasty appetiser of marinated mixed olives whilst we perused the menu. I started with an indulgent plate of melted Brie served with onion marmalade and ciabatta bread - tangy and tasty and an extremely generous portion. My guest opted for succulent deep-fried calamari rings accompanied by sour cream and chives.
For my main course I plumped for spinach and ricotta cannelloni with a side order of garlic bread - given this could be considered a 'safe' restaurant dish, I was impressed with the range of wonderful flavours that came through with every bite. My guest thoroughly enjoyed hearty spaghetti with homemade pork meatballs in a piquant arrabiata sauce.
The dessert menu presented us with ten tempting options; we both eventually opted for the warm chocolate brownies served with walnuts, cream, vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Deliciously naughty and decadent, it was the perfect end to an altogether wonderful evening.
