Long Lane, Hardley, Nr. Hythe, SO45 3FH
This lovely traditional pub, built in the late 1800s, sits on the edge of the New Forest and is the perfect place for dog walkers, horse riders or anyone after some good old-fashioned pub comfort. It is easily accessible via the A326, has a large car park and, as its name suggests, boasts a wonderful homely feel that simply must be experienced.

The bar area is cosy, with original wood floors, and offers entertainment for nights out with friends. There is a television, dartboards and games machines, and you can enjoy a pint of local real ale or a glass of quality wine as you catch up. The food is traditional and homemade. They serve only the freshest vegetables and you can tuck into specials each day, including fish dishes, plenty of choice for vegetarians and a wide range of succulent meat options. On weekdays, between noon and 6pm, you can choose a special two-course meal deal, and on Sundays from noon The Forest Home roast is the perfect way to relax with family or friends. The younger generation are catered for too - there is a selection of dishes for smaller appetites and a pretty, enclosed garden complete with play area.

This charming pub happily takes bookings, so make yours soon and experience the friendly welcome at what could easily become your drinking and dining home from home.
