The Green Man
The Green Man, like any true traditional pub, is the hub of the community and is set looking out over the beautiful green. It stands in the High Weald Area of Natural Beauty and isn’t far from Chelwood Common and Ardingly Reservoir, making it popular with walkers and groups. Welcoming both dogs and children, The Green Man is the perfect place for the whole family to rest up and enjoy a well-earned pint, a delicious feast, or cup of coffee in front of the open fireplace. What’s more, the classic British fare is available at pocket-friendly prices, so there’s no need to break the bank. Visitors can take in the views of the green from the wooden picnic benches outside, or pull up a pew inside and relax in a traditional scene of exposed woodwork, old pictures and flickering candles. Keep an eye out for the early week supper specials and live entertainment. Every Thursday those who order two steaks receive a complimentary bottle of wine. The restaurant area is available to hire free of charge and is perfect for parties of 20 to 40 people.
