On a blustery autumn day, I could think of no better tonic than a visit to the warm, friendly Crown in the village of Horsted Keynes. We were impressed by the inviting traditional surroundings and the welcoming staff, but most importantly by the superb bill of fare. Thanks to an extensive menu and a regularly changing specials board, we were spoilt for choice. From sumptuous steaks and Sunday roasts to the likes of Thai curries and vegan burgers, there’s something for everyone at The Crown. While the menu changes with the seasons, you can be assured of quality. The kitchen team uses local ingredients wherever possible, so you can be assured of the quality of each element of your meal. The Crown is a must-visit pub – just make sure you book ahead so you don’t miss out. If you’re looking for a comfortable retreat, why not enjoy an overnight stay? The bed and breakfast accommodation is sure to satisfy.
