The Royal Oak - Barcombe
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
The dining area is spacious and traditional, boasting a wide variety of food and drink to cater for all tastes. I was immediately impressed to see the majority of dishes on offer are homemade and would suggest beginning your meal with some delicious homely treats such as a starter of deep-fried whitebait with tartare sauce or their warming soup of the day. All starters are well portioned and carefully composed, tantalising your tastebuds for the main courses ahead. The menu is filled with choice dishes and specialities; whether you're looking for a winter warmer or something light in the summer, it's all here. Roasted meats, steak, homemade beef burgers and pies all make an appearance, and are available with a choice of vegetables and potatoes. There's also a fine selection of fresh, vibrant seasonal salads. The homemade treats keep coming with a delicious selection of desserts. Give in to childhood favourites such as fruit crumble or cheesecake, all with the additional option of custard or ice cream. The actual children haven't been forgotten either, with their own menu to choose from.
There is plenty to keep you entertained at The Royal Oak, with a pub quiz taking place every last Tuesday of the month, an indoor skittles alley and a function room available for hire. Cosy and comforting in winter, with ample outside seating for lounging in the summer sun, The Royal Oak is a real home-from-home.
